Composition: Doxycycline Hydrochloride

Character: Light yellow or yellow crystalline powder.

Pharmacological effect:

Tetracycline antibiotics.Doxycycline inhibits protein synthesis by reversibly binding to receptors on the 30S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, interfering with the formation of ribosomal complexes between tRNA and mRNA, and preventing peptide chain extension, thereby causing rapid inhibition of bacterial growth and reproduction. Doxycycline has an inhibitory effect on both gram-positive and negative bacteria. There is cross-resistance of bacteria to doxycycline and oxytetracycline.

It is rapidly absorbed internally, less affected by food, high bioavailability, strong tissue penetration, wide distribution and long maintenance of effective blood concentration. The protein binding rate in swine is 93%.

Indication: Tetracycline antibiotics. For the treatment of Escherichia coli, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis and respiratory diseases caused by mycoplasma in swine and poultry caused by Gram-positive and negative bacteria.

Usage and dosage: Based on doxycycline. Mix drinking: 25-50mg for swine, 300mg for poultry : 1L water, for 3-5 consecutive days.

Adverse reaction: Long-term application can cause superinfection and liver damage.

Note: Layers are prohibited during the laying period and avoid taking it at the same time with feeds containing high levels of calcium.

Withdrawal period: 28 days.
